Subway has a advertised deal of $5 footlong sandwiches so I decided to try one out the other day. It’s a mistake I won’t be making anytime soon. I remember back in the day when you could get a real sandwich at subway. Well, the times are a-changin’.
I ordered a ham, salami, and cheese on a footlong. The lady behind the counter put 6 small slices of ham even spaced accross the footlong piece of bread. She then asked me what kind of cheese and I reminded her I wanted salami too. Here’s where the cheap cost cutting nature of Subway shows its hand. She takes BACK two of the slices of ham and adds salami slices. This sandwich was so lacking that Subway should’ve just sold it for what it really is, a lettuce sandwich.
The worst part is that I was hungry when I should’ve just turn around and left so I actually bought the thing and ate it… and then I was still hungry after I ate it.
I thought about it for awhile and then I’ve come to realize the genius of Subway marketing and what a big con it is. The $5 footlong will basically get you the same amount of meat as a 6 inch, except you get to spread it out over a foot long piece of bread so don’t think it’s any kind of deal. Also this whole “healthy” thing is pure genius. Basically Subway gets to cut back on more expensive food ingredients (meats) and substitute with cheaper ingredients (vegetables) and charge customers the same for a “healthier” product.
I’ve sworn off ever going back to Subway ever again. Then again I’ve seen the lines there and maybe some people like lettuce sandwiches.
I used to absolutely *love* a little hidden gem of the Subway menu — it wasn’t actually listed on any menus at any stores I ever had occasion to look at, but almost every day for awhile back in the late 90′s I’d head in to the same shop, near my office at the time, and it got to the point that the folks behind the counter recognized me and started putting my “usual” together before I even got to the counter.
It wasn’t as expensive then, either — they were still doing that “stamps” thing (before it changed to a colossal ripoff) — it was basically a free footlong after I’d bought four.
That hidden gem? The “pizza sub” — an artery-hardening concoction of pure deliciousness. It’s just the bread, plus mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, then a healthy dose of the thick sauce they use on the meatball subs (in fact they rang it up as a meatball sub but used some kind of trickery to drop the price a little).
It was a wonderful sandwich, despite its obvious high-calorie content (it had no hint of “healthy” to it at all
). In the past few years, though, they’ve gone downhill fast. The biggest change that makes these things suck now is just as you described — they’re using a *lot* less meat now. They used to dish out the pepperoni (and all the meats, actually) in pre-measured little bundles, separated by wax paper. They just measured these out at the start of the day, but it made the actual sandwich making much faster, and there was more meat.
The last time I ordered a pizza sub from a Subway store, about a year ago, they did what you described — just eight pieces of pepperoni spread across a foot long piece of break. Bleh. Total suckage. The end result is depressingly thin and wimpy, and certainly not filling.
They’re also cutting the bread differently now, which makes this kind of sandwich messier — they used to slice the top more carefully, and create a sort of “pocket” where ingredients could hide; now they just cut it in half.
I just realized I’ve written a half dozen paragraphs about a sandwich I used to enjoy eating. Heh.
Anyway, I’m with you — no more Subway for me. I can make a better sandwich myself for a lot less.
How about the fact that although their cheese is triangular they cannot manage to tessellate it and just cause awkward overlaps instead?
Interesting.
I work at a Subway right now in Utah.
For that foot long pizza sub your talking about. I put on 20 pieces of pepperoni.
I ring it up as a Spicy Italian Which normally has 10 pepperoni and 10 salami.
For the Salami and Ham foot long also mentioned. I would put 12 salami and 4 ham and call it a BMT.
Anywho….. What I really wanted to say was that the 5 Dollar deal sucks for the workers. Twice the business and only part of the money.
We are also supposedly losing money off this deal too.
bah fred deluca!
I bet you whiners are all fat asses.
I’m actually 5′ 7″ and weigh roughly 140 pounds so I’m pretty normal.
Maybe you like getting ripped off for a lettuce sandwich but don’t resort to idiotic comments. Then again, intelligent comments generally don’t come out of idiots.
** NO MORE SUWAY ** for me or my family and hopefully any of my friends. That place is a POS. $5 for ** ANY ** footlong?? That’s a joke. They cleverly add the word “regular” but intentionally omit any asterisk after it that informs the consumer that any double-taxed or “premium” (that’s another joke) sub is not included. At the store, I didn’t even see this disclaimer on the big sign that reads “$5 for ANY footlong – limited time offer”. Yeah – I’ll go back to subway . . . when hell freezes over and I’m telling all of my friends to boycott that junk of a place.
Or here’s my favorite…
I’m a vegetarian. I get charged the same $5 for a footlong veggie sub as the same sub with meat on it. Does that make sense?
I used to eat at Subway every week. When the cost of a foot-long veggie sub with the meal deal (drink & chips) went to over $7, I stopped going. Back at that time, I was pissed also because I couldn’t get the special price for a veggie sub. Every day, one of the meat subs was the special. My veggie sub actually cost more than the same sub with meat on it, and they wouldn’t let me get the “special, hold the meat”!
Can you believe it???
Their loss. I live in an area where there are plentiful offerings, so Subway gets $0 from me now — greedy bastards!!!
I actually prefer subway to many places here in San Diego, California. But the only way to actually get your $5 worth is to get the chicken breast, they can’t skimp meat that is already in a patty of some sort. Then onces you get to the veggies, ask them for heavy on the ones you love. Most places don’t mind loading your sub up with the good stuff. You just can’t be afraid to ask.
Just my opinion, but you know what they say opinions are like assholes, everyones got one. =]
i worked there when the $5 deal was in effect and we never skimped on the meat. guess mabey its the whole living in iowa thing. were too nice and honest.
I work at Subway and it’s not our fault that we have to load the subs that way, we follow a formula, sad to say we do have to charge extra for veggies, if you want extra olives we’re suppose to charge 25 cents for 3 olives but I always put handfuls since that’s not even worth it, but the customers still are never satisfied even tho we’re doing them a favor. Can’t please everyone. If the customers really nice tho I hook them up good, mean ones get what they deserve a rip off. Be nice, smile, and it could get you a sandwich worth eating. Try it.
i hate it.
its like one slice of ham shouldnt even matter.
thats why i dont follow the sheet that we get and were supposed to freaking put the exact recipe.
its garbage.
if you came to my subway id give you as many slices of ham or salami that you could fit into your mouth.
I’m a Subway Owner and a big problem is they are all individually owned so you can easily receive completely different experiences and portions at Subways that are 1/2 mile apart.
I can honestly tell you the formulas for the meat portions are fair and the profits on subs especially $5 subs is very minimal. Incase you haven’t noticed the price of all food across the board has gone up this year and minimum wage went from $5.25 to $7.15. And most Subway owners absorbed all of that and continued to run $5 footlongs. And if you go to a Pizza shop or many competitors of Subway you will be charged extra for vegetable toppings, Subway does not charge for them. but as I read above one guys says they charge for them, that is that one owner not following Subways guidelines. That is not a Subway policy.
If you find a good Subway, clean, good service consistent portions etc. stick with it, it must have an owner who cares.
peace out
Subway is still cheap I could go to a pizza store, grab a veggie pizza or any pizza for that matter, fries, a pack of chips and or onion rings and a pop for $5. At Subway it costs $7.50 for a tuna sub, bread plus veggies, I could make the same thing at home for $2.00, subs are rip offs.
[...] for visiting!Back in March of this year (won’t be able to say that for awhile) I posted about why I hate Subway. It’s been frequently viewed and commented on so I felt I should re-visit the [...]
I love Subway. Today (day after xmas) I had to do a 3 hr. drive from Sacramento to San Jose, and I was SO happy to see a Subway midway home.
I ordered a hot prime rib footlong for $5. I got two portions of prime rib, not one like you get with a six inch. Just enough cheese to make it good, with just the right mix of veggies on top. I had half for lunch and half for dinner. The people who worked there were incredibly nice, so I tipped $2.
Thank you Subway, for saving me from McWendyBurger!
i still freaking hate subway, with the unfair portions and sub-par ingredients, its a wonder to me that they are still in buisiness
got a subway any one footlong and they put HALF the meat! They already lack on the meat, which is fine, compared to independent shops. I was just shocked that they actually are making the same or more profit as it is just more bread and slightly more veggies….i used to work there 3 years ago so i know the portions. i was appalled and the lady said they changed the portions, but i wasn’t sure if she was telling the truth or not or if independent store owners decide to do that to save money thinking no one will notice….extremely dissapointed!
Subway is liking eating total cardboard. The vegetables have been sitting in garbage sack bags for days and taste like pure garbage. I swear I cannot tell the difference between any of their breads as all their subs basically taste the same – bla!
Try Jimmy John’s, granted a little bit more expensive, but 10x more enjoyable and tasteful then that crap Subway serves.
you all better harden up
When i order a Chicken Bacon ranch sandwich they ask me if i want this and that. I tell them to make it just the way it comes and they have no idea. That really annoys me cuz they advertise a specific sandwich but when you order it they have no idea how to make it. So i tell them to make it how it is on there website or commercials and they have no idea. That’s at every subway I’ve been to. That why i hate subway. Just make me a sandwich.
I am in Toronto and there is this subway where a family of Indians work. Either that or they just ethnically hire each other. None the less, they used to charge $0.75 a re-fill until one day me and my buddies saw a food inspector and the next day that was gone – I am assuming they were just ripping us off.
Besides that, the younger daughter is just extremely annoying. It takes her like 5 seconds to put the damn sub together – even when you’re getting everything on it, she just tosses everything on it as fast as she can. We get 2 pieces of ham for the 6-inch sandwiches, and around 6 for the 12-inch.
It’s really terrible service in my opinion, but every once in a while you hit a rookie and s/he makes an amazing sub.
Is there like a written guideline for the amount of meat/veggies subway employees must place on a sub so that I can get my money’s worth?
There *ARE* specific guidelines/formulas set up by subway for each sandwich. These were specifically formatted based on numerous taste tests by folks that Subway hired to tell them what tasted better. But remember, subway employees should make a sandwich the way YOU want it. The tricker is, if you are not ordering a regular menu offered sandwich (say you want turkey and salami) that’s up to the owners/store managers to figure out what price they will charge you. Want more veggies? No problem! All you have to do is say, “May I have more olives than that please?” SURE! There is no reason an employee should deny your request for extra veggies and Subway strongly recommends NOT CHARGING for extra veggies.
As for “not knowing” how to make a sub…that’s because it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A CUSTOMER to tell the employee what you want on it. They don’t just “come a certain way”. And not everyone who works there sits on their fat ass all day watching $5 footlong ads on tv to memorize what the subs look like in the commercial, so they can make it that way for people who can’t make decisions for themselves. You should know what you want when it’s your turn to order. And if you’re not sure, perhaps ask “what would you recommend putting on this?” And when the incompetent employee cannot answer your question intelligently, remind yourself, “That’s why they only get paid MINIMUM WAGE.”
And for the rest of complaints, perhaps you should consider applying at your local subway restaurant and pester them for a job until they hire you, so that you (who are far more intelligent than Freddy D himself) can show them how a proper subway restaurant should be run.
Honestly though, I am appalled at the numerous complaints of the employees NOT doing their jobs the correct way…you would think the economy being what it is, people would be better workers? I guess not in some places.
I used to work at a cell phone company, and I would get customers that complained a lot when there was something unsatisfactory to them and they threatened to cancel service, they would throw a fit when they were reminded of the cancellation fee, saying they were never told about it before, even though we had a contract signed by them stating that they read and understood all the terms and conditions (where the cancellation policy is clearly explained). It is OUR JOB TO BE BETTER CONSUMERS and actually READ fine print BEFORE you go do something, and then you won’t have to bitch about it later to some poor kid on the phone who doesn’t really care that you weren’t smart enough to add text messaging to your teen’s phone plan (who uses 5,000+ messages in a month). BE A SMART CONSUMER.
OMG! Your saying that Subway employees need the customer to tell them how to make the advertised sandwich? That’s absolutely insane. Aren’t these people trained properly. I’ve never gone to a restaurant where I had to tell the people how to make the order. Yeah, I can request if the cheese is different or add something or take something away, but there should be a DEFAULT set-up for every item on the menu.
I work at a Subway and absolutely hate it. They are slave drivers and make you work 12 hour shifts and you are never allowed to take any type of a break. I never thought this summer job could ever be this horrible.
I hate this place. I worked at subway for a year and a half and new owners took over, so i lost my job( i was assistant manager). So i thought why not apply for another subway, I did, got the job and the manager just sits on her ass and texts all day. They never give breaks, and the other employess constantly call me wanting to take their shifts, which i dont mind, but If you tell me you just dont want to work I am not taking your shift. They all talk behind my back, and are completely rude to customers. I understand that people get tired at work adn want to rest, but if a customer walks in don’t walk away from them. I hate this place. Not to mention they gave me shirts at this new store I work at that are a size large when i fit into their small, and they have been used and have oil stains all over them, talk about cheap.
Personally im a fan of subway well most of the time. When i go there i get tuna but then i ate it freely without the concept of thinking that it might be fatting but yet it is whats up with that the resturant says lean low calorie sandwoches and yet they have more fat in them than the burgers in mcdonalds or burger king
Subway isn’t the 2nd largest fast food chain without a good reason.
I just started working at Subway and I’m embarrassed at the subs I have to make…there’s hardly anything on them as far as the meats and cheeses. We get to eat a free 6″ sub (but only the inexpensive ones) for an employee meal and I just think the food there has no taste to it. Subway also works their employees like slaves. You are NOT allowed to ever take a break or sit down…you MUST be on your feet working at all times for as long as your shift lasts, which can be 8 hours straight.
Its astonishing that there can be such a marked difference between the advertised product and what you actually get. The ads show meat that is an 1-1/2″ thick plus veggies. The two sides of bread are at least 3 inches apart. Yet when you buy one the two slices of bread ARE ACTUALLY TOUCHING!!!! Its like one thin slice of meat and a handful of lettuce on a foot long piece of ‘goo bread’.
SUBWAY-EAT-STALE!!!!
News break!!! Flash, flash, flash….Subway has just created their newest sub sandwich “The Starvation Sub” It doesn’t matter what you order, you get a paper thin slice of meat with a paper thin layer of veggies on a very bland piece of bread. At least that is what my last several visits to the Subway in Meridian, Idaho was like. All I could taste was bread…Yuck! The guy behind the counter literally put a thinner layer of lettuce on the sandwich than there was meat. I requested more lettuce so now he double sprinkled a paper thin layer of lettuce. This guy made me feel like I was begging him to put more lettuce on my sandwich. The routine was the same with the rest of the veggies.
What I find even more interesting is when I went to a local Quiznos and Port of Subs, I actually got both a decent amount of meat and veggies right off the get go. Geeees, and I didn’t even have to beg for them. Plus their sandwiches were tasty. Yum, yum!
Feeling ripped off by my recent experiences with Subway Store 29220, I filled out the Subway on line “Customer Service Form” Considering I have never heard back from Subway, it is a good indication they do not want my business. So long Subway, I am done with you guys for good…
It’s against the law for any restaurant to force employees to work for 8 hours straight without any breaks.
go eat a sub somewhere else then if you care so much
I LOVE QUIZNOS. I like a little meat on my sandwich, and like the guy mentioned above Subway sandwiches are lettuce sandwiches. Try this, try telling them light on lettuce, they’ll still put a lot. Their dressing are more watery and when they ask me if i want it toasted i say no I don’t want it MICROWAVED which will have dressing dripping down my arm. Pay a little more and eat better at Quiznos, you cheapos. Now I am in mood for a Classic Italian.
I am employed at Subway and I actually love it. There are no DEFAULT subs. This isn’t mcdonalds where your greaseburger automatically comes with oinions, ketchup, etc. It’s your choice with what you want on the sub. A lot of the subs do have very little meat on them, this I understand. But what you don’t seem to understand is that it is not the employees fault. The owner of that particular store gets to decide from the given recommendations how much meat will be put on each sub. I admit, when customers are complete asses to me then yes, I will probably rip them off. But a simple thank you or smile from a customer easily earns someone guarenteed extra meat. The reason you don’t have a “break” is because when customers aren’t there, and you’ve got all the prep/cleaning done, you can pretty much just chill and do whatever. With the five dollar thing, the commercials do say any regular sub. You can’t blame the store just because you have select hearing. Many subways have a list of their five dollar subs. Just take a look around. To whoever said that subway subs have just as much fat/calories as a mcdonalds/burgerking/etc., uhh. No. There are footlongs that have maybe the same amount of calories as a bigmac or something, but then think about how much more food you’re actually ingesting. Think before you post stupid shit. About the rising prices, this is America. Inflation does happen, believe it or not. It’s very irritating that so many people are generalizing about the quality of subway. Yes, it is a fast food chain, but that does not mean that every store is the same. Our store gets many complaints because we don’t carry spinach, seafood, breakfast subs, etc. Quit assuming every subway is the same, because they’re not.
Another thing, the subs you see on the commercials have almost every single veggie on it, and the subs probably took a lot longer than a few minutes to make. Subway is a FAST food place. Do not say that subways sandwiches are bullshit when you’ve got every other fast food restaurant doing the same thing. Have you ever gotten a Bigmac that actually looked like the one on the commercials? No. With the whole bread touching bread thing(compared to the commercials) if you got every single veggie or even half of what was on that commercial sub, maybe then it’d look “big.” honestly, I wouldn’t want to get a sub looking like the commercial sub. YEA it looks nice, but that’s gonna be a bitch tryin to actually eat.
i work at subway, and they complain about us using too many veggies on top of being cheap with the meats
My reason for not liking Subway is different than most people. You see, I’m Deaf and it is a major chore to have to tell the Subway worker what I want on the sandwich. They ask a million questions – what size bread, what kind of bread, which meat, which cheese, which veggie, which sauce, and oh yeah… “do you want that toasted?” It takes me forever to get one order done meanwhile the line seems to grow longer and longer behind me. I’ve even tried to order one of their supposedly regular menu items and say “everything on it” but yet, they persist with their questions. It is so much easier for me to go to a place like Quiznos and say “I’d like a regular Italian Classic on wheat bread with everything on it” and pronto the worker goes right to work producing a perfect sandwich every time.
That’s why I don’t go to Subway…
i agree, they should be trained for a default sub,i wont go there because of this..
As a Subway owner in the US I can tell you that owners do not determine how much meat goes on a sub. It is decided mostly at corporate and somewhat less in area markets. There is no extra charges for veggies and this should be consistant throughout the US. I pay close attention (as does Subway Corporate) to what my competitors are doing. I can happily say that Subway’s Five Dollar Footlong is a good deal. Remember people, businesses cannot stay in business if they loose money on every sale! Burger King owners are suing corporate over their current dollar menu item because it is costing them more than a dollar to make the burger. As someone stated earlier that they can pick up a pizza, chips and pop at a convenience store for $5 just think of the quality of the product. Subway has pretty high standards at their stores and each store is evaluated for about 2 -3 hours each month (unannounced) to make sure they keep their quality high. I, myself, believe the reason their are so many complaints on this forum is that the customer has gotten used to such high standards at most Subways that when they go to a store that maybe isn’t run quite as well as others that they feel “cheated”. I can tell you that Subway corporate does indeed care that each store puts out the best product.
$5 footlongs? How about coming down on the price of a 6-inch? It’s outrageous that Subway charges $4.50 for a 6-inch to coerce people into buying footlongs. Claiming to support eating healthy, then encouraging people to overeat. Shame on Subway!
First off, the Subway you went to did not make the sandwich correctly. A ham and Salami should have 8 slices of ham and 6 slices of salami. Also, no resturaunt is healthy. The only healthy thing at subway is the salads with no sauces. Also, a 6-in IS more expensive than a $5 footlong. obviously for a footlong it is $5, and for a 6-in it ranges from $3.48-$4.55. But what people do not think is that the sandwich artists cut it in half, and think they have to eat it all at once. To the customers, you do not have to eat it all at ONCE. get the dressing on the side if you think it will get gross by the next meal or the next day. Stupid customers. I honestly do not feel bad for charging the customers X-amount of dollars because they should know how to order and the sandwhich artists should not have to ask every single time to the same questions.
Everyone, stop bitching. I work at Subway. I have been working there for 6 fucking years, and everyone on this website has the balls to say I hate Subway?! Look at Quizno’s subs! At least at Subway you get the right amount of meats and whether if you want your fucking sandwich toasted or not! Quizno’s just pop it in the oven because they can’t make cold sandwiches and they charge you for the extra fucking vegetables! Second, our breads are made fresh you bitch, unlike Quizno’s; their breads ALREADY COME MADE. They defrost their fucking bread. And quit complaining if she took off the ham slices or you didn’t get enough meat; NOT ALL SUBWAYS ARE OWNED BY FRED LUCA (Subway Corporate Owner, who started Subway). Every owner of a restaurant decides how they want to assemble putting extra meat on or not. And yes, we don’t put a lot of veggies because they are fucking expensive! If you want a “ton of olives” or “a lotta lettuce” GO TO THE GROCERY STORE. I’m sure there you can get a can of, no wait a ton of fucking olives in a can for 99 cents! I promise! Don’t be a stupid customer. Knowldge is power.
Wow Suki! What a load of Foul Language and Poor Attitude… Oh wait, you’re a subway employee it all adds up. You’ve worked at subway 6 years… hey MAYBE subway would be better it you morons TOOK THE TIME TO CARE and make my sub the way you would make your own! Instead customers get a rushed slab of crap dripping lettuce and a streak of sauce running flat down the midde. I understand sometimes your job sucks but does that mean my lunch has to too? Employees that take their time and make neat sandwiches with sauce applied in wavy lines get tips from me. So take your TIME, and you’ll get more TIPS (making your job suck less), and my subs will taste BETTER.
(Though they won’t taste great since prices keep going up while quality and portions keep going down)
I’ve been working at Subway since I was 16 and I still am through college, so I have experience with customer complaints. We do have to put on a certain number of meats with each kind of sub or we will be yelled at by the boss for making it wrong. The reason why we ask so many questions like “Do you want that toasted” or “What kind of vegetables would you like on that” is because YOU get to choose what you like most on your sub and we can’t read your mind if you want a certain thing or not. When people ask me to make the sub as how it is in the commercial; since we aren’t informed as to what specific things go on each and every sub, we just make it the way that we think goes on it. And if the customer has a problem with how it is made then they shouldn’t have asked. I always got yelled at for putting way too many olives on and my owner told me that I was losing her alot of money because I put too much veggies on. Believe me, she yelled at me pretty good, which is why I put the correct 3 olives on a 6 inch now, because she would freak out again if I didn’t. Customers look at me weird when I put 3 on put when the owner is right there, I feel like I have no control. But when she’s not there, I just grab a handfull haha. It really is a horrible place to work and ripps people off, but it’s just a small job right now for me for another year.
F Subway!!!!! I love reading these posts because i thought i was the only one to have some serious issues with them. I havent eaten at subway in 5 years and instead decided to pay a couple more bucks for a real sandwich. They have been making fools of people for years – 5 bucks for some bread and lettuce.
I actually used to eat there once a week until i realized a new employee struggling to find a way to stretch a couple triangle cheese pieces across a foot-long sando. “just throw another one on there” i said. “the last guy used to hook it up!” After she explained she would be fired, i said thank you, and never returned.
Cheers and Stop supporting Subway. It only makes you look like a RA-TARD!
James – 27 / 160lbs / 5’11
i work at subway!
And first of all No we never changed the amount of meat on our sandwiches for the 5 dollar footlong promo . you get double the meat and veggi on a footlong as you would on a 6 inch , second when you asked for a ham with salami she rang it up as a bmt so it would be 5 dollars for you otherwise she would have to charge you 2 dollars extra that is why she took off some ham and she originally put on 8 ham not 6 …. and third we are really nice to nice costomers if we get stupid customers who are assholes to us we will charge them for everything we can but if you go in there nice with a nice attitude we will hook you up because we can enter each sub combination in the register several diffrent ways some that charge more some are cheaper … so dont be an asshole which u sound like you are. and lastly we if you are willing to pay for the sandwich you want then there is no problem we have designated 5 dollar subs because stupid people come in and ask for absolutly everything and thats just being stupid ur only paying 5 dollars dont be a greedy cheap ass ….. and if you have a problem with that go eat somewhere else cause we dont wanna deal with you anyways!
pam your obviously not gonna last at subway you conplain to much and if you just started and your already bitching about the work your to lazy to work in a fast pace enviroment .. and you do to get brakes stop makin shit up for an 8 hour shift you get a 30 min brake and two 10 mins and yes even you do that is corprate
rose i know im he same way i load customers up with veggis but when my owner is in the store i go by the corporate amounts lol
anonymous — our original 5 dollar substhe six inch version is around 350 not 450 for our promotion we had all of our subs 5 dollars so the six inch version of that stayed the same so you were paying about 450 for a 6inch when the footlong is about 8bucks
“You are NOT allowed to ever take a break or sit down…you MUST be on your feet working at all times for as long as your shift lasts, which can be 8 hours straight.”
That’s AGAINST the LAW! Don’t put up with that, they are not allowed to not let you take breaks. Report them or quit, don’t let them take advantage just because you are young or you really need the job.
