I already got a nice base of growing dividend paying stocks. Now it’s time for some riskier investments.
Here’s what I got in recently
DRL at $4.90 - expect me to average down if the price sinks further.
ASEI at $52.09 - this one shot up a bit in the past few days.
Doral Financial Corp. (DRL) - Doral is been bleeding nonstop. The main issue was that they had to restate their earnings and had major problems with the i/o strips. They’ve settled their issues with the SEC and have hired new senior management. However there are issues that we have to deal with including the Puerto Rican economy growing at a paltry 1%, loan volumes are down, and tons of other problems. The picture isn’t pretty, but I really think management can turn the company around and the Puerto Rican economy will come out of its slump. I’m prepared to invest in this one for the long run.
American Science and Engineering (ASEI) - They develop security (x-ray) equipment and their customer base is governments entities. Part of this investment idea is that I think demand is growing for the types of products they sell and a whopping 29% of shares were held short, 27% now. Wait for that short squeeze baby.

What percentage of the money you invest is in high risk stocks?

Right now? about 30%. I’m going to increase that % slowly over time.

From what lower risk companies have you purchased the most shares?

Bank of America, it’s way past my price of $44.55 now however.

Why did you tell me to invest in AERT? Price dropped $10 from 102 to 90!! NFLX isn’t doing so well either. Got it at 112 and now its 108. Your investments must have taken a hit also.

Are you f*ing crazy? I never mentioned such a thing. AERT is nowhere near 102 or 92. it’s at $1.80 today. I just checked on Yahoo! Finance. Seriously. What’s your deal?
