I recieved this e-mail from Google checkout today regarding my seller account:
It has come to our attention that your account ID does not comply with our Terms and Conditions. Due to repeated violations of our policies, your account has been closed.
Your account was disbursed its final payout of $xxxx.xx on xx/xx/xx.
Please note, your bank may take up to three additional business days to
register the payout in your bank account.
Your current ending payout balance is now $0.00. Any pending and future
transactions made with this account will not be processed.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
The Google Checkout Team
Things to avoid having your account closed:
* If someone owes you money, do not use Google checkout to have them pay you back. Google checkout is supposedly for sales only, transfers of funds is strictly prohibited.
* You cannot sell “services”. Sales and purchases have to be on real goods.
* Repeated transactions with the same individual will raise flags at Google.
How’s everyone else’s experiences going so far?
One Response to “My Google Checkout Account was closed!”
I can still purchase things, I cannot invoice buyers for payment for any service or items I sell anymore however. Google Checkout has strict policies on not allowing the sale of financial services. Also, if a family member owed me like $10, I would let them pay me with a cc through Google checkout since it’s 0% processing fee.
