With the recent rate cuts a lot of bank have been dropping the rates on their accounts. You can still get an effective 5% APY though.

There’s a credit union where I live advertising 6.25% APY/
There’s a bit of a catch - while there is no minimum, there is a maximum of $30,000. Any balances above $30,000 get 1.01% APYU.

That is, you get 6.25% on the first $30,000 and then 1.01% on the rest.
