My favorite blog Freakonomics recently went into NYC taxi cabs which is a local subject for me.
I hardly ever take taxicabs because I don’t know mind taking public transportation. Most places I’ve ever frequented have been within walking distance of a subway station and whatnot. I also have the option of driving into Manhattan but preferably only during off-peak hours.
